Update on the Boys

We are loving our puppies! Here is an update so you can see how they have grown and what they look like now. This is Baxter. He is such an emotional guy--whining, begging, and pleading was never so earnest nor unremitting as when he is crying. And he can really pout, just as much as he can charm and weasel his way into my heart.

Not to be outdone, Charlie often sits on my legs with his back feet on my tummy and his head resting on my ankles (yes--he is a very long dog when stretched out). Here you can see him peeking at me around my laptop screen as if to say, "Can you puh-leese pet me?!"

These boys love Mother. When she comes to visit she tries to sneak into the house before they go nuts barking and jumping all over her. She has finally gotten them settled down in this picture and true to form, Baxter looks darling and snuggly (and martyred, somehow), and Charlie is smiling as he often does.

Charlie just loves Mother. After her cataract surgery, she came to our house and collapsed on the couch for several hours. While she was asleep the boys climbed up onto her and slept with her for quite awhile. Mother slept so deeply that she didn't feel their 23 lbs (apiece) climbing onto her.

When Charlie was only a couple months old he developed an ear infection, so the vet prescribed antibiotic drops that were to be administered via syrringe twice a day. The boys love to suck on the syrringe full of water. I think they feel special, which is quite funny.
So yes, I just love my boys.

And so does Sam. Thought you'd like to see for yourself.
