Here are some words that I love, but that I can't bring myself to use in conversation with anyone:

brobdingnagian
and this one: the longest one in the English language
pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis.
Try dropping that one nonchalantly into a conversatrion over lunch. If it doesn't choke you, try using another word like, quadridimensionality or Honorificabilitudinitatibus.
My all-time favorite is this: Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrn-drobwllllandyssiliogogogoch. The name of a Welsh village in Anglesea. It means, “The church of St. Mary in a hollow of white hazel, near to the rapid whirlpool, and to St. Tisilio church, near to a red cave.”
