Heaven

This is one of my favorite mental pictures. It is written by Ellen White, a woman whose dreams and visions appear to be inspired by God. This particular quotation is a description of a dream of being in heaven. If only more of us lived like we believed this, we would be much less put out with the circumstances of our lives:
We tried to call up our greatest trials,
but they looked so small compared
with the far more exceeding and
eternal weight of glory that surrounded us,
that we could not speak them out,
and we all cried out, "Alleluia!
heaven is cheap enough,"
and we touched our golden harps
and made heaven's arches ring
